The Leyland Titan was a wartime bus, but it was an odd bus for Coventry. It remained at CCT for only six months before being exchanged for a new wartime bus originally intended for Middlesbrough. It was never painted in CCT livery and suited Middlesbrough better than the Guy that replaced it. It is reported that it never bore its fleet number. There is some debate as to whether or not it ever ran in anger in Coventry, a mystery that will probably never been fully solved.
