The Wilkinson tram engines had a vertical boiler and a gear drive to one pair of wheels with coupling rods connecting to the other pair of wheels. The Falcon locomotives had horizontal boilers with a standard connecting rod arrangement. The fate of the locomotives after the demise of the steam trams is unknown.
