This picture was taken from New Inn Bridge, looking North. The junction with the west end of Windmill Road can be seen just behind the tram and the buildings are still standing today. The buildings behind the lorry are still standing and, from their appearance, were probably built as a row of Co-op shops. The white bumper and possible headlamp mask indicate wartime and the vehicle in the distance could be a tracked military vehicle. The tram is standing in a passing loop, possibly used as a terminus.
